Mother Nature’s wrath

Dave Duncan surveys the damage to a tree in his backyard left by a lightning bolt this morning in the 500 block of Maple Street in Libertyville. The lightning strike cut a groove the entire length of the 40-foot tree from the top of its canopy to its base.
