MOUNT PLEASANT — The Trojan softball team was ahead 5-3 Wednesday when rain came and suspended play of their road game against Mount Pleasant.
Mount Pleasant had a runner on third with one out, and a batter in the box with a full count in the bottom of the fifth inning when the game was called.
In her first outing of the season, Shelby Heston accumulated 11 strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings for Fairfield.
