MUSCATINE (AP) — The president of the Muscatine School Board says she's resigning because of “toxic people” on the panel.
The Muscatine Journal reports board president Penny Jones resigned Wednesday because of difficulty working with other board members.
Jones was employed by the Muscatine School District for more than 35 years before retiring in 2010. She was elected to the board in 2011.
