Fairfield Fire Department responded to a fire call Thursday afternoon at Fairfield Area Career Academy Lincoln Center that turned out to be a false alarm. Firefighters discovered upon their arrival shortly before 2 p.m. that students had discharged a fire extinguisher in the gymnasium, which was believed to be smoke from a fire.
