The city of Fairfield will be allowing a trial deer hunt on two weekends.
The first weekend that hunters will be allowed to hunt deer within city limits is Dec. 28-29, and the second weekend is Jan. 4-5.
Interested parties must first fill out an application for a deer hunting permit. These applications can be picked up at the Jefferson County Law Enforcement Center.
