Trial set over bomb threats to Jasper County Courthouse
NEWTON (AP) — A March trial has been scheduled for a man accused of making bomb threats to the Jasper County Courthouse.
The Newton Daily News reports that 39-year-old Martin Meloche pleaded not guilty to two counts of making a false report of the placement of an explosive or incendiary device and to one count of possessing contraband at the county jail. His trial is set to begin March 4.

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — The amount of water flowing into the Missouri River this spring is expected to be close to normal levels.

The National Transportation Safety Board recently concluded its investigation regarding a plane crash that occurred last summer at the Fairfield Municipal Airport.

Microchip, vaccine clinic set at Noah’s Ark
Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation is hosting a microchip and vaccination clinic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation.
